The Department of Revenue Services is looking to fill the role of Tax Unit Supervisor - Enforcement in the Criminal Investigations Division in the Legal Services Bureau, located in Hartford.
POSITION DETAILS
- This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position on first shift.
- Schedule is Monday-Friday between 7:00am and 3:00pm, although cases may demand occasional evening or weekend hours.
- Located at 450 Columbus Blvd in Hartford, CT.
YOUR ROLE
The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is comprised of two units – the Financial Crimes Unit and the Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) Unit. The Financial Crimes Unit is responsible for investigating potential criminal violations of the State Tax Code and places specific emphasis on areas of refund and preparer fraud, cash businesses, and referrals from civil divisions within the Department. The MSA Unit assists the State of Connecticut in meeting its obligations under the terms of the MSA through its enforcement of Connecticut’s statutes relating to cigarettes and other tobacco products.
These positions will be accountable for supervising CID staff engaged in investigation and enforcement of criminal violations of the Connecticut tax statutes.
