Family Crisis Therapist Supervisor

This is the supervisory level in the family crisis therapy series responsible for overseeing and monitoring program operations for intervention services.

The State of Delaware recognizes the value of telework and flexible working schedules. This position is eligible for Telework and Alternative Work Schedules after successful completion of probation as according to the State of Delaware’s Alternative Work Arrangement Policy. More information will be shared at the time of interview.

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.   • Intervenes in family crisis situations.
  • Provides on-going clinical assessment and treatment.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans.
  • Assesses progress and recommends appropriate strategies for continual functional improvement within the family.
  • Conducts individual and family therapy sessions.
  • Prepares clinical reports and documentation of progress towards goals of families and clients.
  • Provides on-going consultation with professional staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field.
  2. Two years' experience in crisis intervention.  
  3. Three years' experience in case management such as assessing, planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating options and services to meet an individual's human needs.
  4. Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision, which may include performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others.
