Summer Camp Teacher / Counselor

Challenge Island-Johns Creek Roswell is  hiring high-energy, enthusiastic teachers/ counselors for part-time STEAM (STEM +Art) enrichment camps at schools and centers in the North Atlanta (Roswell, Johns Creek, Buckhead) areas. As a Challenge Island teacher, you will provide children with opportunities to think like engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs as they work together in teams to complete projects and challenges utilizing kid-friendly materials. Our screen-free camps cover a wide range of themes…slime, space, arcade games, pets, super heroes and more!

This position is perfect for college or graduate students on an educational career path who love working with children and are seeking to supplement income. Teacher certification is not required. Challenge Island will train qualified candidates in our unique program and teaching philosophy. Instructors will be provided with curriculum, lesson plans, supplies and materials for classes. Camps run 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. There are 8 weeks of camp to choose from, and you indicate upon hiring which weeks you want to work.  Each week long camp pays $100/day for a half day camp (3 hour camp plus an hour set up and clean up) or $200/day for a full day camp (6.5 hour camp plus 1 hour set up and clean up). Camps weeks to choose from are June 10, June 17, June 24, Jul 8, Jul 15, Jul 22.
