Job Description And Duties

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one permanent, full-time Staff Services Analyst position in the Legal Division's Securities & Regulations Unit. This position is to be located in the Sacramento, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.
 

Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst will routinely perform Quality Assurance (QA) review on all assigned applications and notices, respond to program inquires through calls received during phone duty, Public Records Act Requests and emails received in the SRD’s inbox, as well as a variety of analytical work on issues relevant to the unit. The incumbent should independently assess the identified issue or assignment and develop and communicate recommendations for solutions to the Staff Services Manager I. The incumbent will participate and interact with stake holders as necessary to produce a quality work product that adequately addresses the identified issue or assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates who are within six months of satisfying the experience requirement for this class will be admitted to the examination, but they must fully meet the experience requirement before being eligible for appointment.

Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade; and

Four years of experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
