RN, LPN, and CMA Hiring Event: UNC Health Clinics

Wednesday, February 15 | 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Event Location: 1181 Weaver Dairy Rd., Suite 150, Chapel Hill, NC 27514

We are hiring Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Medical Assistants, Certified, for our many UNC Health Clinics across the Triangle!

How do I qualify?

Medical Assistant I, Certified:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is strongly preferred but not required.
- Requires Medical Assistant certification by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Health Career Association (CCMA), National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider certification
- Prior medical assistant or medical assistant externship experience preferred.
 
Medical Assistant II, Certified:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is strongly preferred but not required.
- Requires Medical Assistant certification by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Health Career Association (CCMA), National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider certification
- Possess at least one year of full-time experience as a Credentialed Medical Assistant.
- Demonstrate possession of the competencies outlined in the Credentialed Medical Assistant Advancement Worksheet through their application and interview.
 
Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Requires graduation from a state accredited program of practical nurse education including a pharmacology course (or completion of an approved pharmacology course upon graduation) which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the administration of medications required by the work setting
- Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the applicable state (NC or VA).
 
RN Clinical Nurse II
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelors degree with a major in Nursing or a Masters degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date. 

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification 

Professional Experience Requirements:
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
