World Language Teacher (Spanish)
Avon-by-the-Sea School District is a one building district serving approximately 130 students in grades Kindergarten through Grade Eight. We are in search of a full-time tenure-track World Language Teacher of Spanish for the 2020-2021 academic year beginning on or around April 23, 2021. Applicants must possess the required certification and demonstrate a successful track record of exceptional instructional pedagogy, advanced technology skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across many platforms.
Required NJ Certification:
- Spanish (1550)
Preferred NJ Certification:
- Teacher of Students with Disabilities (2475)
- English as a Second Language (1475)
Desired Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise of Spanish language and culture
- Utilization of best practices and methods for foreign language instruction
- Experience developing and implementing World Language curriculum
- Ability to maintain a structured and positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of GSuite for Education tools and platforms (Google Classroom, Meet, Calendar, etc.) to support an in-person and virtual learning environment
